Tennessee Society, Sons of the Revolution

Our treasurer, Jim Rivers, confirmed at the Board of Managers meeting that our status with the IRS as a non-profit 501C3 organization is in good standing. Furthermore he confirmed that our status as a non-profit Tennessee Corporation is intact.

In looking at the necessity of acquiring an office, the Board is looking at the possibility of purchasing some real estate. We need to review our constitution and bylaws, and if necessary, make some changes to make this possible. It was suggested that we start a Capital fund raising drive to subsidize such an effort.

Just a reminder that it is time for our monthly meeting this Thursday at 3p.m. It will be held at the Fountain City Library. Our President as always ask that you make every effort to attend. You know how he hates to get all dressed up for a small group.
