To: Key Leaders of the Sons of the Revolution
From: Douglas R. Boyd, Sr., President California SR
On behalf of the Sons of the Revolution in the State of California, I would like to extend to you this personal invitation to attend the 40th Triennial Meeting in Glendale, California on September 24-27, 2009.
The upcoming issue of Drumbeat will provide a great deal of information about the Triennial Meeting, the events and optional special activities, as well as sign up information.
A special Triennial Meeting web portal has all the latest details, at:
http://www.srcalifornia.com/triennial/highlights.htm
In addition to details about the meeting plans, the portal includes a schedule of events, suggestions and information about individual activities, such as museums and “the sights”, and helpful links. The Triennial Meeting fee is $395. With round trip airfares from most cities in the $200-$350 range and favorable $129/night hotel room rate, this Triennial Meeting promises to be a great success, and an outstanding value.
We want to be sure you are aware of the optional excursion to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, taking place on Thursday, September 24. Space is limited and reservations are subject to sell-out. A copy of the sign-up sheet is attached to this email.
To facilitate travel plans, we have arranged availability of a block of rooms at the convention rate of $129 for Wednesday, September 23.
EXCURSION TO REAGAN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY
Participants will depart from the hotel at about 10 am and return about 5 pm. We will travel the 40 mile distance through the picturesque Santa Susana Mountains. Following lunch, complete with linen and china service, a tour of the Library, Museum and grounds will take place, including the Air Force One Pavilion, containing the “Flying White House” used from 1973-2001 by President Reagan and six other presidents. This optional pre-Triennial activity requires advance sign-up and payment of $90 per person for lunch, tours and transportation.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS
Hotel reservations for the Triennial Meeting can be made directly at the Hilton Hotels web site.

FRIDAY EVENING EXCURSION
A spectacular evening is planned for Friday night consisting of a reception and sunset dinner at the Jonathan Beach Club, one of the premier private clubs on the west coast. Located directly fronting the beach and the Pacific Ocean, JBC is nestled at the foot of the bluffs in Santa Monica. The setting is in the keystone of a fifty-mile vista stretching from Malibu to Palos Verdes, offering breathtaking views. After a reception, participants will dine in the elegant ballroom. Transportation from the hotel to Santa Monica will be by chartered luxury coach, departing our hotel at 5:15pm.
TRIENNIAL BANQUET
The Triennial Meeting reception and banquet will be held in the hotel ballroom on Saturday evening, September 26. Dress is black or white tie. Special guests will join us to make this a memorable evening indeed.
